these sticks....so i wanted cheap sticks. man....you get what ya pay for. I bought red and black ones, one pair each. the red ones. one out of the pair broke the tip off within 2 weeks. and the black ones, oneis flat spotting and splintering at the tip. Granted, I do play death metal, but these things just feel cheap. I ended up sanding the paint off at the bottom too (that is, the one of each left *mismatch*, lol)

I just started learning on an apprentice practice pad. They rebound really well and absorb shock decently. I tend to play a little hard so sometimes i hurt my hands and fingers from the mild vibrations but otherwise these sticks are really sturdy and work great. The red paint rubs off a little too easily though. Also, no matter how hard i try i can't make the same sound with both sticks. I think one's denser/heavier than the other.

These sticks are the best drumsticks you can get. If you really need drum sticks, get these sticks. They look really cool. I just got these yesturday and used them for the whole day until i went to bed. Get these sticks, and be happy with them.
