Hopefully "A" finds a good deal on these soon.Why did I get three? Well, for under $30 I will place one at each of the work stations in my wood shop. Cheaper and easier to equip than a central dust vacuum. I have a 12 gallon, an 8 gallon, and a 2.5 gallon shop vac, and an old Craftsman 8 gallon as well. This little 5 gallon has darn good power comparable to the 12 gallon Shop Vac brand one I have. However, the hose on this model is only 1 1/4" diameter which is not the best for high volume pick up. But it works fabulously for my purposes. The stainless steel tank is also better for wood dust. The suction of moving wood dust creates static and the wood dust clings like glue to plastic tanks. So When you go to empty a plastic tank filled with wood dust it tends to cling . . .even to the outside of the tank as you empty it. So, while the 5 gallon tank is small, it empties much easier. How big is 5 gallons??? Well, the tank is the same size as a 5 gallon plastic paint pail and then put the motor on top.The good is that the stainless steel tank is solid and well made, the bad is that the caster assembly snaps onto the bottom rim and they sort of flop around without screws holding them in place. There is no way to screw these down to prevent them from this problem. Beyond that, 5 gallon is way too small unless you are using it for very occasional use. It is a nice size for storing away, but the reality is that if you'll find yourself emptying it much more often than a slightly larger 8 gallon. Keep in mind, just because it says 5 gallon, doesn't mean you can fill 5 gallons worth of debris. The 4.5 HP motor seems to do the trick for picking up sawdust, debris, etc from the floor and good for vacuuming furniture. If you need something more industrial, this... The accessories of the former unit fit on the new unit and the new unit was quieter and more powerful than the original one. It came with a mis-manufactured stainless steel tank that had ripples at the base of the tank. This was replaced by the OEM after two weeks with a more sturdy stainless steel tank. The wall thickness was increased from 0.015" to 0.025". Functionally it was about the same as the former model except that the output air flow of the vacuum was merged with the output air of the motor with the resultant air being warmer. This may prove to be an advantage in drying carpet or ... While the accessories are adequate for my purposes, I note that additional accessories are available separately as well as in combinations with other packages.
