I have tried an endless number of variations on the traditional ballet flat, but those tend to either have no arch support (but be comfortable otherwise) or have comfortable soles but leather that rubs against the heel or toe, creating blisters. I have tried every moleskin, blister pad and arch insert on the market and nothing has helped. With my honeymoon coming up, I was getting desperate.Everything changed with a walk through the Macy's shoe department a couple of weeks ago... I noticed the wall-o-crocs and almost passed it by - before a vacation 1 1/2 years ago, I tried my first pair of 'stylish' crocs, a modified Mary Jane style, and the plastic strap attachment rubbed a huge patch of skin off of my foot the very first time I wore them. I thought it would be fine because I'm a size 7 and that's what I purchased, rather than the usual of people having issues when they attempt to go down by half a size. My pair of Malindi Crocs fit more comfortably. Looking at them side by side, it is clear that although they have similar profiles, the Olivia is narrower and shorter. As with another reviewer, I found that the opening caused issues for my little toe. Not sure why this is when the openings on my Malindi and Mary Jane Crocs were never an issue. I will try the heat and stretch to see if I can get the fit to improve. |
