This review is from: Humminbird AS GR50 50 Channel GPS/WAAS Satellite Receiver (Electronics) When I bought my Humminbird 718, I wanted to get a GPS receiver for it. I have been using a hand-held GPS for a while and this would eliminate the need for it. The GR50 can either be installed on a flat surface or attached to the top of a flag pole. I have a 16' skiff with tiller control and opted to screw the receiver to the top edge of the side since I don't have a console. It has a very low profile and is a little bigger than a hockey puck. It picks up a GPS signal super fast and has many features. Primarily, I use it to show my speed and mark way-points. Install is very simple and basically involves plugging in the cable and screwing it to a flat surface.
