 Suprising High Quality / but limited Speaker Selection, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Atrend A202-12 Atrend Series 12-Inch Dual Up-Fire Bandpass Vented Enclosure for Dodge Ram Quad Cab 2002 and Up with Bedliner Finish (Electronics) I wasn't expecting much for a $140 enclosure, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product. Most high-end stereo shops couldn't build a better box. Of course, a well-built custom box could have been made a bit bigger to take full advantage of the under seat space that it occupies. As it is, I'd recommend using some L-brackets or other strategy to secure the box in place. Had we not already ordered 12-inch woofers, I would have probably gone with the 10-inch variant of this box. The reason...this box has limited volume. It's probably too small for most 12" subs. We originally ordered the shallow Pioneer 12-inch subs for this box but they DO NOT fit. The area about 2 inches in from the subwoofer cutout only has 2.0 inches of depth clearance. The Pioneer Subs do not have the customary taper to the basket like conventional speakers. Hence it interferes with this box.We needed to complete the project quickly so we sourced some 12-inch suibs that would fit...JL... Read more |
