Bridgeable Power
In bridged mono mode, the XM-GTR2202 can deliver a whopping 1400 watts to your subwoofer.
MOSFET Power Supply
High-output MOSFET Power ICs produce clearer and more accurate sound with less distortion and at higher signal/noise ratios.
Low Pass Filters
Variable low-pass filter from 50-300 Hz.
Variable Bass Boost
Variable bass boost of 0 to +10 dB at 40Hz provides additional bass response at lower frequencies.
Variable Subsonic Filter
Trim the signal of unusable bass--below human hearing range and taxing to audio systems--for further efficiency with the Subsonic filter. Set it between 6 and 70 Hz.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Very Good Amp, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sony XM-GTR2202 GTX Series Amplifier (Electronics) I purchased this Amp to power a Pioneer 258-D4 subwoofer and it does a great job at that with a bridged connection. The amp is very slim so I was able to mount it under my driver seat. The amp does not draw a lot of power from my electrical system and still is able to produce great power. It has not overheated at all and has not really even heated up that much. I checked it after making a couple of two hour car rides with the audio going the entire time and the amp did not seem that hot at all. My suggestion would be just to keep it in a well ventilated area because I believe it does have a built in fan that really works when it can draw in fresh air. However what you will need to install it into your car will be a 8 gauge amp wiring kit and a good spot for it. I have no complaints about this amp and would suggest it to anyone. However I caution everyone to make sure that the sub you will buy with this amp will comply ohm wise with the amp or it will cause damage to the amp. I... I have it hooked up to 2 sony 12" xplod amps and its really hits hard. Its a lil big but with the proper adjustments it can fit almost anywhere in your trunk. I'd say this is your best bet for the 150 range for a 2 channel high wattage amp everything else will run you a bit higher for name brand.
