She is 12-mos/18-lbs and the shoes run a little large but she is walking well in them. I would say they match her size-4 hard soled shoes.She's been pulling off her socks (of course!) but wearing these shoes has stopped that. I think she feels more "grown-up" in them since she sees everyone else wearing shoes. Back to the shoes tho....yes, they run a tad big and wide but with warm socks they are perfect for new walkers. The sole is the same as the upper and you may want to rough-up the sole if you don't have carpets.
