It has a sort of "creamy thickness" that stays on....not like a thin petroleum jelly that is gone in seconds. In fact I just ate a bowl of cereal, and realized I can still feel it on my lips! The color is light, but exactly the color of the outer packaging, when on your lips. Please note: Go to the Bert's Bees website and use their shade selector. It will show you that this Pink Blossom is a COOL PINK, while the Hibiscus, is a WARM PINK. Very good to know.... I almost bought the Hibiscus because the color looks so pretty on the packaging, but it's warmth would have looked bad on me. I look best in "blue" pinks. Seems a little crappy that the outer packaging makes you think you are going to get a BIG tube.... You are essentially paying twice the price for this product but... It is not at all like the original it have the texture of the medicated flavors. Its also is sheer but can be built up. It is really moisturizing,it makes your lips feel better instantly. I think the color is great, its a light to med pink, but looks very natural on. I naturally have dark red lips and for me this lightens then and tones down the red. The only thing I am not loving is the smell. These small off, kinda sweet but with another gross scent mixed in, but it goes away quickly. Over all the best colored lip balm. I normally buy very high-end cosmetics i.e. Dior, Stila, B.B. Laura Mercier,and yet this balm surpasses all of theirs. Laura Mercier makes a tinted balm and I own the exact color that is identical to Tiger lily and I have to say Burt's is much better. |
