The price was right on my limited budget and after getting a drum set, I had even less money. So I know how you are feeling if you are reading this review. With that in mind I would say make sure you go by a Guitar Center and feel this pedal along with others. When I was just starting out I thought every kick pedal was the same. I couldn't have been farther from the truth. Pros: This pedal is cheap. This pedal is all metal so actual frame and foot board should hold up forever. Cons: This pedal reaction speed is REALLY slow. I used this pedal for 3 years and thought my foot work was really lacking. Popping off 1/16th note up beats on a decent tempo was really hard. One day I was at a music store and was messing around. I sat down and my foot was doing it so easy. I ran back home excited and got right back to having issue. I repeated this process at a friends house...
