The woofer's sealed motor assembly and cone make up only part of the enclosure's outstanding reputation for battling nature's extreme elements. The sub's injection-molded cone and basket are UV-treated to reflect harmful solar rays. The tough, molded polyethylene box is designed to be highly water-resistant. I am posting the review to help other shoppers out because I usually search Amazon first for any product in order to read reviews, but there were no reviews for this sub. Anyways, I have the sub mounted under the console, facing upward in a Bennington pontoon boat being powered by an old Fosgate Punch 40. The amp is bridged so it is getting about 80watts RMS. The sub provides great bass, I have about 6 hours on the sub so far so it is probably not even reached its full potential. The construction of the box is sturdy, definitely built for marine use, and fits well for my application. |
