Orbita Voyager Travel Watchwinder - Black Leather W36000

Product Description

Never worry about losing time when you travel with the Voyager. This innovative watchwinder utilizes a unique plastic-lined stainless steel cylinder which serves as the watch holder and rotator and protects from damage as you travel. The drive unit with Swiss micromotor is hidden within one of the two steel support rollers, which are mounted on the pedestal. Inside the pedestal 4 AAA alkaline cells provide the power (or use the provided compact AC/DC adapter). As the rollers turn, the watch holder turns. A blinking LED light signals when batteries need to be replaced. Your Voyager Travel Winder is programmable for winding cycles of 800 or 1300 turns per day and rotatable either clockwise or counter-clockwise. All components travel easily inside the cylindrical, suede-lined, textured black leather carrying case with snap enclosure. MANUFACTURERS WILL ONLY HONOR WARRANTIES ON PRODUCTS PURCHASED FROM AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. DON'T GET BURNED, BUY AUTHORIZED.

This review is from: Orbita Voyager Travel Watchwinder - Black Leather W36000 (Watch)
Overall I like this product. My only major concern is that the large upper cylinder must be placed precisely over the two smaller rolling cylinders for the large cylinder to rotate properly. Until I realized this, I noticed that it would rotate initially when the unit is powered on, then it would stop rotating a few hours later. Then I had the problem that if this winder was placed too close to any object and is accidentally moved just a little and was now slightly rubbing against that object, it would stop rotating. Now that I have resolved these issues I do like this watch winder very much. It has a unique design and appearance. In hindsight I should have purchased the same unit that is enclosed in a case (such as the Orbita Futura Series Watch Winder W34002) to resolve the second issue.
