I wanted to create more of a challenge for my arms, which weren't feeling the burn so much anymore after a couple of months of working out with the game (except for one day when I actually got annoyed with my virtual trainer and kept trying to hit her--hard--and ended up with a sore left bicep).Glad I got 'em. They're 1 lb. each, which may not sound like much, but when you're throwing punches at the air, you have to be careful not to overpunch, if that's even a word. My arms started to feel the (seemingly) slight extra weight within the first few minutes and I'm still feeling the effects of a relatively short workout (I chose the prepared, regular workout setting--didn't want to go with hardcore first time out with the gloves) 20 minutes later.
