They seem to be very durable shoes, but have a smooth leather sole that slips on carpet, hardwood, and tile. When our son wears them, his feet slide outwards while he's standing, causing him to do splits and fall, and he slips when he walks on any and all inside surfaces. My husband tried abrading the soles with sandpaper, but it didn't solve the problem. They work well outside on pavement, so if your child will only wear these outside, they'll be fine. This style is super cute with orange and blue accents.Really happy with the PediPed brand. If you can snag them for the low $20's then they are a good deal. Asking retail is $32 at most brick and mortar stores.
