I dont feel comfortable with the petroleum derived product being slathered all over the skin with unknown amount of absorption of the petroleum, as well as unknown long term effects etc. The Babyganics ointment is a good alternative with very similar consistency of the petroleum jelly. It is not as great as moisturizing the skin ( as petroleum based ointments) but given that it is made with natural and less harmful oils it is a great alternative. Eczema is a difficult chronic problem to maintain so I am not sure if this product helped clear up the kids skin or the weather change did it. Regardless I still apply this all over the kids body and face. No odor. Only complaint is that I wish it was 1/4 the size.
