I was looking for a quality pedal at a good price. After a simple assembly, I hooked it to my drumset (electronic), quick and easy. It took me about... 20 minutes of fine tuning, but then I was beating out triplets and such with suprising power and accuracy. I haven't played double pedal in about 20 years, but this pedal made it seem like last week! Very impressed and satisfied.

I just started playing drums recently and I was ready to move on to metal. Came a day before the specified arrival date. I've been practicing double bass just on the floor for the past week or two and as soon as I got the double bass pedals, I set it up, and it sounded amazing! I was playing metal beats just like that! it's amazing! So far, nothing seems wrong with it, except the beater on the right side sometimes hits me in the shin, but that can be adjusted. Its by far a much better pedal than my previous single bass pedal. I also bought a piccolo snare from mapex and I tell all my friends 'its by mapex, so you know it'll be good' because I was tired of buying cheap no-name brand drums.

I am amending a previous review in which we had a very difficult time returning this item the first time we bought it as it only came with half of the shell pack and none of the hardware. It took over a month, but we ordered the item again and are VERY PLEASED. Great quality and sound!

I bought this drum set for my son. All parts were present and in perfect condition. I've never set up a drum set before, but followed the instructions and set it up within a few hours (it could probably be done much faster, but I'm a perfectionist...lol). Everything went together nicely and it sounds great to me and my kids. The black hardware looks very nice, and goes very well with the color of the drums. I shopped around and got this set at a great price with free shipping and no sales tax! I'm very happy with the entire experience and would highly recommend this drum set!

I have now ordered this Pearl Drum Kit twice from Amazon and in both instances I received the kit without the HWP-790 Hardware Package it is supposed to include (High-Hat Stand, Splash stand, ride stand, kick drum pedal, or throne). I clearly communicated to the customer service rep on the phone what was missing...and even provided the SKU # for the missing box the first time this happened.
I was told by the rep that I could wait and maybe someone could find the missing box in the warehouse (waited two weeks and never heard anything)...or I could return the merchandise. Of course because of the size of the boxes I had to pay to return the boxes. The cost of reshipping was refunded to me...but what a hassle having to repack the thing and ship it back.
Needless to say, I will never again attempt to order something like this from Amazon again. The price was great; but the service and delevery lacked a lot.

These mallets are great. Their handles are made of good wood and really stay strong. They have a enough rebound to play on the toms and snare and create interesting effects on it. Just don't let your dog get to them!
